Sacramental Program for Children (Catechetics)
We no longer offer Sunday morning classes for children attending government or private schools.
Instead, we hold these classes on Tuesdays and Wednesdays during the school terms:
- Reconciliation Classes: Tuesdays, 4.00 - 4.45 pm
- First Eucharist Classes: Tuesdays, 4.00 - 4.45 pm
- Confirmation Classes: Wednesdays, 4.00 - 4.45 pm
Basic guide to age requirement:
Reconciliation - Grade 3 children; Communion - Grade 4 children; Confirmation - Grade 6 children.
The Sacramental fee is: $200 per child. If there are two or more children involved in the program for 2026, there is a family fee of $300.

All parents wanting to enroll their children for After School classes at St Mary’s Parish for the Sacraments of Reconciliation, Communion and Confirmation in 2026 please contact ATTENTION ANNA via email: admin@stmarysgeelong.com.au immediately.
Please know that with enrollment for Confirmation, you may need to provide a copy of your child's Baptism and First Eucharist Certificate. If enrolling for First Eucharist, you will need to provide a copy of the Baptism Certificate only.
Please note: The Eucharist classes for 2026 are scheduled to begin on May 20, so PLEASE ENROL NOW !!! - before it is too late.. The date & time for Parish children is to be confirmed, but will be on either one of those dates.
Dates of Sacramental Classes for First Eucharist 2026
All classes are on Wednesdays, 4.00 - 4.45 pm

Class 1: 20 May
Class 2: 27 May
Class 3: 3 June
Class 4: 10 June
Class 5: 17 June
Class 6: 24 June
School Holidays: 27 June to July 12 (no classes)
School Term 3
Class 7: 15 July
Class 8: 22 July
Class 9: 29 July (Class Party)
Celebration of the First Eucharist will be on Sunday, 2 August 2026, at 2.30 pm
Reconciliation Classes for 2026 will be held in mid-November.
