  Saturday December 14 – 10am: Seniors’ Anointing Mass

  Tuesday December 17 – 7.30pm: Christmas Memorial Mass

  Wednesday December 18 – 7.30pm: 2nd Rite Reconciliation Service

  Christmas Eve Mass Times: 6pm Family Mass; 8pm Mass; 9.30pm Polish Mass; 11.30pm Carols & 12am Midnight Mass.

  Christmas Day Mass Times: 7.30am; 9.30am; 11am; 12.30pm Polish Mass

Boxing Day Mass: December 26 - 12.30pm Polish Mass

  NEW YEAR 2025 There is no New Years Eve Mass scheduled on Dec 31

MASKS ARE NO LONGER MANDATORY. BUT IF YOU ARE ILL WITH A COLD/FLU or EVEN FEEL SIMPLE SYMPTOMS OF EITHER or COVID, THAT YOU WEAR ONE WHILST VISITING THE BASILICA.

WE ENCOURAGE YOU TO SANITISE YOUR HANDS UPON ENTRY AND WHERE POSSIBLE, SOCIAL DISTANCE AT 1.5m.

Basilica Opening Hours

Mondays:

The Basilica is open from 10.00 am to 5.00 pm. Please note: there is no Mass on Mondays.

Tuesdays to Fridays:

The Basilica is open from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm for personal prayer. Mass is at 10.00 am.

Saturdays:

The Basilica is open to the public from 9.00 am to 11.30 am (or thereabouts). Mass is celebrated at 10.00 am. 

Private Reconciliation is offered after the 10.00 am Mass on Saturdays.

Saturday Evenings and Sundays:

Please note: the Basilica is only open for Mass celebrations, hence:
Saturday evenings: approximately 5.30 pm to 7.00 pm.
Sundays: approximately 7.00 am to 1.45 pm.

Sunday Mass from St Mary's Basilica is broadcast on Geelong's local community radio station, Pulse FM 94.7, at 10:00 am each Sunday.

These audio recordings can be accessed at any time of the day. They are not podcasts and therefore cannot be downloaded. You will require the internet to connect and listen. Sunday Masses are usually kept for 4 weeks.

Reconciliation is held after the 10.00 am Mass on Saturdays in the Basilica, finishing at 11.00 am.

Piety Stall GIFT SHOP
Current regular opening times are:

Monday to Friday: 10.30 am to 1.00 pm

Closed on Saturdays

Sundays: 10.15 am to 12.15 pm

We encourage you to respect the need for 1.5m social distancing and ask you to please sanitize your hands before entering the Piety Stall.

Please be aware of overcrowding issues in the small space, and be patient waiting for service. Thank you.

The Piety Stall will be open regularly up until (& including) Sunday Dec. 22nd.

After which it will close until Tuesday February 4th, 2025, when it will open at 10.30am.
