Catechetics
We no longer offer Sunday morning classes for children attending government or private schools.
Instead, we hold these classes on Tuesdays and Wednesdays during the school term:
- Reconciliation Classes: Tuesday 4.00 pm - 4.45 pm
- First Eucharist Classes: Tuesday 4.00 pm - 4.45 pm
- Confirmation Classes: Wednesday 4.00 pm - 4.45 pm
Basic guide (age requirement):
Reconciliation - Grade 3 children; Communion - Grade 4 children; Confirmation - Grade 6 children

All parents wanting to enroll their children for After School classes at St Mary’s Parish for the Sacraments of Reconciliation, Communion and Confirmation in 2026 please contact ATTENTION ANNA via email: admin@stmarysgeelong.com.au immediately.
Please know that with enrollment of Confirmation you may need to provide a copy of your child's Baptism and First Eucharist Certificate. If enrolling in First Eucharist you will need to provide a copy of the Baptism Certificate only.
Please note: Confirmation is scheduled for March 25 + 26 in 2026 so PLEASE ENROL NOW !!! - before Christmas. The date & time for Parish children is to be confirmed, but will be on either one of those dates.

Class 2 Tuesday 10th February 2026 at 4.00pm—4.50pm
Class 3 Tuesday 17th February 2026 at 4.00pm—4.50pm
Class 4 Tuesday 24th February 2026 at 4.00pm—4.50pm
Class 5 Tuesday 3rd March 2026 at 4.00pm—4.50pm
Class 6 Tuesday 10th March 2026 at 4.00pm—4.50pm
Class 7 Tuesday 17th March 2026 at 4.00pm—4.50pm
Class 8 Tuesday 24th March 2026 at 4.00pm—4.50 pm (if needed)
First Eucharist are scheduled for August for 2026 (Aug 2; 9; 16; 23)
Reconciliation for mid November 2026
The Sacramental fee is: $200 per child. If there are 2 or more children involved in the program for 2025 there is a family fee of $300
