Friends of Faith and Light Geelong

"Faith and Light gives to persons with an intellectual disability the possibility of being recognised as unique persons, and using their gifts and discovering the joy of friendship."

Faith and Light is a worldwide Christian community formed at Lourdes in 1971. Faith and Light communities enable people with a disability and their families, friends and other supporters to come together to share faith, food, fun, friendship and celebrate the gift of one another.

We hope to form a new Faith and Light community in Geelong, based at St Mary's Parish. Currently, we are working towards becoming an official part of the Faith and Life network, with the support and guidance of the regional Faith and Life leadership. Hence, for the time being, we are known as "Friends of Faith and Light Geelong".

In 2021, we plan to meet every third Saturday of the month (except for December, when we will have a special Christmas celebration on the second Saturday). Please see opposite for the complete list of dates.

The meetings are held from 1.30 pm to 4 pm in the Pioneer Room, St Mary's Parish Offices, 150 Yarra Street, Geelong. The Pioneer Room is located on the first floor and can be accessed by a lift, which is nearby the Parish Office entrance.

If you wish to know more or would like to be involved, please contact Tricia O'Keeffe on mobile 0414 672 267 or via email patriciaok65@gmail.com.

You can also learn more about the Faith and Light movement here.

Please keep the development of Faith and Light in Geelong in your prayers.
