Fri Feb 17, 7.30pm “SLEUTH” starring Laurence Olivier, Michael Caine. Andrew Wyke, a best selling author of detective fiction living in a grand 16th century mansion is visited by Milo Tindle, business owner. Andrew reveals to his guess that he’s aware of Milo’s affair with his wife. But instead of being angry he confesses that he is actually glad to be rid of his troublesome spouse and devises a plan whereby both men with benefit financially from a divorce. PG

 

Sun Feb 19, 1.30pm “FROM TIME TO TIME” starring Maggie Smith, Timothy Spall, Alex Axel. In 1940’s England, 13 year old Tolly is sent to Green Knowe, the country estate of his grandmother, while his mother searches for information concerning Tolly’s father who is missing in action.  PG

 

Fri Feb 24, 17.30pm "WAIT UNTIL DARK" starring Audrey Hepburn, Alan Arkin. A blind woman, stranded alone in her apartment, is menaced by a pair of henchmen believing drugs are hidden there.  PG

Fri Mar 2, 7.30pm  "THE HELP" starring Viola Davis, Bryce Dallas Howard, Octavia Spencer, Jessica Chastain, Ahna O'Reilly, Emma Stone. An aspiring author during the civil rights movement of the 1960's decides to write a book detailing the African-American maid's point of view on the white families for which they work. PG

 

Sun Mar 4, 1.30pm "THE BENNY GOODMAN STORY"  starring Steve Allen, Donna Reed, Sammy Davis Jnr.  Biography of the 'swing' band leader from age 10 to his landmark concert in Carnegie hall in 1938. MA

 

 

Fri Mar 9, 7.30pm "THE CUP"  starring Stephen Curry, Tom Burlinson,Brendan Gleeson.  Since it's inception, great stories have emerged from this famous horse race, run each year on the first Tuesday in November, but none had a more extraordinary effect on the entire nation than the running of the 2002 Melbourne Cup.  PG

 

Sun Mar 11, 1.30pm "NIGHTS IN RODANTHE"  starring Richard Gere, Diane Lane. Amost as soon as Adrienne gets to Rodanthe, a major storm is forecast and Dr Paul Flanner arrives. The only guest at the Inn, Flanner is not on a weekend escape, but rther is there to face his own conscience.  PG
